Is this true?
Once a PS3 game has been out for a while and few people play it anymore (online) Sony shut down the servers thus preventing that game from being played online at all ever again by anyone?
If this is true (not sure myself - just a rumour i heard) then maybe the Live £40 goes to keeping open all MS servers all the time.Thus you can always play an old 360 game Online even if its not to popular.........

If i go into a 'pizza palace' and they have 30 different types of pizza its nice = choice is good.
If Aunt Mo goes into 'gaming city' and is buying a 360/PS3 for little Timmy she wont know whether shes coming or going (especially with some sales staff) = choice is bad.
I think next gen MS and Sony should release 1 SKU and stick with it.
Im guessing that people who post on this site ARE hardcore gamers and know whats what when it comes to the gami...
Microsoft were brilliant last gen in putting a HDD in each console - it was the way forward.
This gen they have mucked up with their 'choice' thing.
People need a harddrive for gaming in this day and age.
My advice would be for MS to not release any more consoles with less than a 60gig harddrive with it.
They should phase out the HDD less machines.
For people without a HDD they should have a 'firesale' on their 20giger...

Not sure pc gaming will ever die - i think that there are more people playing WoW (just one game) than there are subscribed to the 360's xbox live service.
MMO's,RTS's and FPS's are all still big on PC's and i doubt that trend will stop anytime soon.

'Nerdy niche' games are perhaps the best games ever - if a game doesnt sell millions does that mean its a geeks game?
Doesnt matter to me if the game doesnt shift anymore 360's - aslong as i have mine to play on thats surely all that matters.........
Well in fact Killzone2 isnt that far off at the moment (being in development for 3+years has helped)
Also MGS4 has turned up trumps in the graphics department - although short of what we saw at E3.
It seems everyone is getting hyped for this MAG now but i hope people realise that the game isnt going to look anywhere as good as the stuff they just showed at this years E3.

Some nice points regarding the Saturn.....
However i think that even though the Saturn had better games than the PS1 (Panzer Dragoon Saga,Sega Rally,Virtua Fighter 2,Shining Force3,Guardian Heroes etc) the fact is Sony marketed the PS1 so much better.
They appealed to the gamers with disposable income,16 - 30 year old males and made it fashionable to own one.
Its early line up was also 'hip' - ridge racer,wipeout,demolition derby etc.
PimpHandHappy completely owned by cow moolester.
Best rpg's so far this gen - oblivion,mass effect,lost odyssey.
Brickstation is falling behind.
Flopstation cant last the distance.
Failstation is floundering like a whale on a beach.
To sum up then - Xbox360 > PS3
Didnt Sony originaly say that the PS3 would come with 2 HDMI's?
They said that with the power of the cell that they could output a 1080p signal to 2 televisions at the same time.......
Dont get me wrong Sony HAVE got a 'beast' of a machine but it really winds me up when people fall for the hype.
Dont even get me started on 4D gaming and everything moving at 120fps at 1080p........
Oh dear............you didnt realise that the 360 version of GTA4 was put off release just so they could get the PS3 version up to speed with the 360 version.........and it still runs at a lower res.

GTA4 is crap i agree - but cause of all the chavs buying the game we might be stuck with it going for a 'game of the year' award - *Vomits uncontrollably*
'AAAA' game - well after 2 years your best games are Oblivion and COD4 - both also on the 360........
